I just became a Bug Designer!

I'm soooo excited to tell everyone that earlier today I found out that I've been voted in to be a Bitten By The Bug design team member!!! My term starts Aug 1st through the end of Oct. I can't wait for my 1st challenge! I'm dying to know what it will be...

You must check out the Bitten By The Bug site, there you will find the extremely talented design team that will inspire you to the point that if you work you'll want to quit your job and cricut all day long! There are also links to their own sites that are a must see as well!

I'm soooo beyond honored to be selected to be able to work with these amazing ladies, there are almost no words that I can say to try to explain just how excited I am!

:))

And BTW, I called Cricut to get pick out my 3 free carts for winning the Show Us Your Best contest. I got Stretch Your Imagination, Joys of the Season and Pooh Fonts. I originally wanted the 1st two I listed above along with Home Accents but because that came out before the contest I wasn't allowed to choose that one, so I went with Pooh Fonts. I love the kid-like font design and the wood feature and I see myself using Piglet a lot. :)

I'm also going to be using this card as one of my entries to the latest Bitten By the Bug contest.

Here's Kazan's sketch:

A few Thank You cards

I made these over a month ago for my fiancé's son to give to those that gave him b-day gifts. I cheated a bit by using Premade Cards & Envies by DCWV Embossed Box of Cards and their Scallop & Rick Rack Box of Cards, since I needed to make these really quickly...

To dress them up I used SU!'s Thanks a Bunch Wheel Barrel stamp, embossed it and colored it in with markers on one of them. On another one I used Inkadinkado Thank You stamp which I also embossed it and colored it in with markers, added Prima flowers & Gems. Then on another one I used the Thanks with a flower cut from Cricut's Stamped Cart and added some rhinestones. And on the last one I used Prima's Daisy Doddles Candy Pink Blossoms and Flower & Butterfly Rhinestones (the Thank You was already embossed on the premade card).

And here they are:

Birthday Cake Card for my lovely SIL

This card was originally made for my brother as his favorite color is orange but when I started the inside I thought is was too plain and started adding Prima flowers and gems and realized this was supposed to be a guys card, so I ended up making him a new one. At the time this design was based off of one of Taylor's cupcake challenge (#15) sketches.

So here I had a card that I couldn't use for him and then thought hey this would be a really great card for his wife, Stacey. So two months later I got to give it to her for her b-day that was 2 days ago.

Here is Taylor's sketch:

Here's was my take on it:

I've been given another award!

WOW! All in the same day I've been given an award from 4 people (of which I would give this award back to them as they are amazingly talented and so inspirational to me)! Tracy, Scossie, Julie & Sharon have given me the honor of this award:

So now it's my turn to pay it forward by following the rules:
1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the boys/girls you've nominated

Now since I would have given this award to the lovely ladies that awarded me, I'm going to choose 3:
Glee - she makes the most absolutely beautiful cards
Trina - I'm in absolute awe of her stamping
Taylor - she has so many inspirational sketches and what she does with them are just awesome

There are so many others that I find so much inspiration that I could go on and on and many of them have already rec'd this award (as they greatly deserve it)!

Happy 4th of July to everyone!

:)

Update to this post, I just received this award from another talented lady Tiggertastic, please check out her site as she has style! And she also makes beautiful jewelry for sale.

B-day Party Girl and 2 Sketches 4 You

Whoo-hoo, another fun sketch to work off of from 2 Sketches 4 You with this week featuring Laura's 3rd sketch.

This week I needed to make two b-day cards for two friends of mine that are twins. They look very much alike but their personalities are a bit different. And I have to admit that I'm not too good of a friend to them since their b-day was this past weekend and I'm just making their cards now! This one is for the twin (Lori) that loves to get everyone together so I went with the Party Girl Theme to go with her personality. I did a lot of popping up on the dresses by cutting some from the left over paper and used sticky squares to pop them! Then I dressed them up with some Stickles and Glossy Accents. I'm also getting into this stitching thing, I don't know why I was so nervous to give it a try...

Tomorrow I'll get working on the other twin's card (wish me luck!)

Here's Laura's very cool sketch:

And here's my take on it:
