Happy Valentine's Day - BBTB2 Contest
Hey there, if you've been on my blog in the last week or so then you've already seen this card in the post below, as I also used it for Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #98. It started off to be my entry to the Bitten By The Bug 2 contest but thought I would combine it with another challenge.
The BBTB2 contest was to make any valentine's project, using any cut from any Cricut cartridge but you had to add purple in the color theme. I really liked that idea because it's the color theme in my downstairs bathroom and a little bit in my bedroom but with much more latte color. For some reason I've liked that color combo for home decor for awhile.
Since this will Scott's Valentine's card I made a matching box using the Stationary Box with a Frame Top from The Cutting Café designed by the very talented Regina Easter. Her set comes with 4 different tops, the frame (the one I used), circle opening, rectangular opening and a solid top.
So here's my entry in the BBTB2 contest:

Scott's favorite candy bar is Snickers, just in case you were wondering ;p

With masking tape I used the same stamp as the inside of the card, I just stamped each word separately on the tags (also, those really pretty diamond pins were given to me by a friend of mine, Tracy Gough all the way from England, thanks again Tracy!):

Inside of the card:

Most of you know that I love to embossing my stamping images:

Back of the card & envie:

The greatest stamp for card makers!

Love Mix:
Most of it is listed in the post below, but here are a few extras:
-Stamps: Inkadinkadoo "Happy Valentine's Day", MSE! "Love Postage" and MSE! "Back of Cards Set"
-FCI: Colorbox "Warm Violet"
-The Cutting Café Stationary Box cutting template
-Misc: Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

Happy Valentine's Day with TESC98
Hey there, finally I was able to get back to making a card based off of one of Taylored Expression Sketch Challenges. This week is #98 and it was really fun to work with. I decided to combine this with the latest Bitten By The Bug contest (which is a Valentine's project using purple in it) so you will see another post of this with a matching bag or box for some Valentine's gifts.
Here is the TESC98 sketch:

And here's my take:

This really cute ice cream image and sentiments are from Taylored Expressions Sprinkled with Love stamp set. It has a bunch of really cute yummy desserts and other sentiments. I'm really looking forward to using the mug and swirly steam on another card.
I used Glossy Accents on the ice cream dish to make it look somewhat real glass, which is REALLY hard to see in the picture:

I always loved this die cut from Cricut's Stamped cartridge:

So anyway, wish me luck on being picked to being in TESC's Top Crop.
Recipe:
-CS: Bazzill Basics "French Silk" and "Bouquest", Mi-Teintes "Stygian Black"
-PPs: DCWV "Love", "Gold Script Designer", Olive Script" and from The Mat Stack
-Stamps: Taylored Expressions Sprinkled with Love
-FCI: Colorbox "Chestnut Roan", "Dark Brown" and "Merlot"
-Prismacolor Pencils: PC946 Dark Brown
-Sakura Glaze Pens
-Stickles: Xmas Red
-Cricut Cart: Stamped for Love cut at 3" with a shadow and AE for the Scallop frame cut at 3 3/4"
-Misc: Marvy Liquid Applique, Heat Gun, Black Pigment Ink, Glossy Accents
TFL!

Thank You
Here's a couple thank you cards I made, in which I did a test on myself to see if I could make each card within 30 minutes. I did this because I'm so picky and always changing my original design so it winds up taking me hours to make one.
They came out simple but I'm pleased with them:

Isn't this flourish frame stamp gorgeous! It's by 7Gypsies and then I added the sentiment from Lockhart Stamps:

Recipe:
Card 1:
-CS: MM Smooth Grapevine and TPC Plum Tree
-PP: K&Company Scrap Pad to Go "K-Ology Peabody"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox Wisteria, Dune and Olive Pastel
-Stamp: Inkadinkado Classic Expressions set
-Blossoms: Colorbok "Family Blessings" and Prima's Got Flowers?
-Rhinestones: Jewelry Essentials
-Misc: Versafine Black Onyx ink, Colorbox Black Pigment Ink, Ranger Embossing Powder, heat gun, adhesive, MM Rhinestone brad, red marker
Card 1:
-CS: Bazzill Basics "Capers"
-PPs: ProvoCraft Slab XI and Deja Views Fresh Print "Plum"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox Deep Green, Warm Red and Merlot
-Stamp: 7Gypsies "Nottinghill" set
-Misc: Versafine Black Onyx ink, Colorbox Black Pigment Ink, Ranger Embossing Powder, heat gun, adhesive, Sheer olive ribbon, red marker
TFL!! And Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Get well and get pampered
A friend of mine had her tonsils out so I thought I'd give her a little gift to get a little pampered with a manicure and foot soak.
I used this great Box with Dividers designed by The Cutting Café's very own Regina.

With the dividers that Regina designed for this box they worked very well for the gift certificate in one of the sections, a baggie of sea salt in one and a bottle of OPI nail polish called Rosy Future with two smaller baggies of sea salt in the 3rd section:

Here's a really pretty stamp by Inkadinkadoo that I stamped a couple times to pop up the rose:

I put the stamped image on this tiny card I adhered to the top of the box and used ribbon tied in a bow to keep it closed. Just untie the ribbon and the card opens to a little message:

And here's the other rose I cut out from one of the several stamped images I did:

Medicine:
-CS: Bazzill Basics "Brocade" and "Witch Hazel"
-PPs: Anna Griffin
-Stamp: Inkadinkadoo "Get Well"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Dune", "Merlot" and "Olive Pastel"
-Stickles: Diamond
-Primsmacolor Pencils: PC925 Crimson Lake, PC1005 Limepeel
-Misc: Versafine Black Onyx ink, Gamsol, Adhesive, Mini Pot Dots, Sheer White Polka Dot ribbon, cellophane baggies

Christmas party favors
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was a full house and very nice, except for the fact that a few of us had bad colds, myself with a 2 degree temperature. But it was still very nice. :)
You've already seen some of the favors I made for my family in early earlier posts but here are the last 4 that I had to make.
The 1st three were made using Regina's Candy Box cutting file from her store The Cutting Café. This box is PERFECT for holding 12 mini Hershey bars. One I made was for my darling SIL who is a chocoaholic so this was a perfect one for her. The 2nd one was for my soon-to-be wonderful mother-in-law who loves mint chocolate and luckily for me this year Hershey came out with mint mini Hershey bars, including white chocolate! And 3rd one was made for my great manager.
And since this holds 12 mini Hershey bars I decided to go with the Twelve Days of Christmas Theme...Regina being as creative and smart as she is, she included in this set the perfect measured rectangles to make your own wrapper for each chocolate bar.
So here are the ones using the Candy Box and the paper is from K&Company:

I love this paper from SEI from their Alpine Frost collection:

Originally I was going to put everyone's names on the favors but I decided at last minute to do place cards.
I got these so too cute ornament place card holders from Michaels for only $1/pair, are they not gorgeous?!?:

This one I filled with Hershey's mint truffle kisses. I also used Regina's Christmas Circle printable stamps for the tag. This gorgeous paper is from K&Company.

This favor I made using Regina's Long Window cutting file from her store The Cutting Café.
This one was for my brother being the coffee junkie that he is (as well as myself):

This stamp is from one of my favorite stamp sets...CTMH Coffee Shop and I got to use my prismacolor pencils (PC946 Dark Brown & PC911 Olive Green) and the gamsol technique:

Here's another stamp I fell in love with this season from Inkadinkadoo's Snowflake Trail set:

TFL and happy holidays!
