Thank ewe!

Hi, just a quick post for a quick card I made to thank my fiance's dad and stepmother for their Christmas gifts. Yes I know it's March but we didn't get to get together until February and I haven't been able to post anything because my computer completely crashed on me and I had to send it out for service. Until today I've been without a computer since Feb 28th! It's back and up and running :)

That adorable sheep is from The Cutting Café Ewe, Ladybug, Pie & Heart background set printable stamps.

I ran it through the Cuttlebug's D’Vine Swirl Folder:

Here's just a quick post on a quick LO I put together for the scrapbooks I'm putting together for Scott's parents. This was Zachary, a stray that we took in but unfortunately after 4 mos we realized it was never going to work out with my other cat, Tyler, so we had to find him (Zach) a new home. We found the best home for him with 2 other cats and dog and the ALL get along, so Zach is very happy in his new (not so new anymore) home and Tyler is happy with him gone! ;p

-CS: TPC “Espresso”, “Sable” and Mi-Teintes “Stygian Black”
-PPs: Karen Foster “Cat Tracks”

Congrats on a long overdue promotion

Hi there and Happy Friday!!!

Here’s a card I made my fiancé for a promotion he just got that has been way overdue!!

Just a simple card using Cricut’s Beyond Birthdays & Cuttin’ Up cartridges. Using the CDS I welded the shadow of the Congrats to the Base of the Card.

Using Beyond Birthdays I cut the Congrats at 5 1/4” and You Did It at 1 7/8”. For Scott’s name I used Cuttin’ Up and welded the letters using the cartoon and shadow features, cut at 1 7/8”.

Here’s a pic of it with the back side of the envie:

And here’s with the front of the envie:

And of course I had to do a little on the inside:

Celebratory Recipe:
-CS: Bazzill Basics “Mocha Devine” and “Palo Verde”, and a shade of orange Bazzill CD
-PPs: DCWV “Once Upon a Time” stack
-Fluid Chalk Inks: “Chestnut Roan” and “Amber Clay”
-Cricut Carts: Beyond Birthdays and Cuttin’ Up

TFL!!

PS - My new crafting station is done, I just need to organize things and take pictures to show you. Stay tuned...

B-day Boy card to my cousin

Man is it hard to keep myself under control when making a card for a guy. You know how much I like to embellish everything and wind up make it girlie. Usually it takes me a couple hours to do a card between me being picky and a perfectionist and then of course all the interruptions...

So I think the key to making a guy card is to only give myself 30 minutes to make it. Well I think it took a few more minutes but it worked and this is what I came up with.

Recipe:
-CS: DCWV "Brown #3", Bazzill Basics "Safari", TPC "Gingersnap" and MM "Smooth Cranberry
-DPs: DCWV The Fall Glitter Stack (loads of fun papers in there!)
-Stamp: Inkadinkado Handmade with Love
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Chestnut Roan" and "Dune"
-Tim Holtz Distressed Ink "Walnut Stain"
-Stickles - Crystal
-Border Punch: Fiskars Threading Water
-Cuddlebug: Birthday Wishes Die/Embossing Combo set
-Cricut: Cuttin' Up for "Mike" using the cartoon & shadow feature cut @ 1 3/4"
-Misc" Colorbox Black Pigment Ink, Ranger Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Adhesive

Sweet Baby of Mine

It's another week over at 2 Sketches 4 You and this week it's Kazan's sketch, which is her 3rd sketch (and what a sketch it is!).

And there is also a new contest over at Bitten By The Bug that gave me the opportunity to combine two challenges into one. The contest over at BBTB is something for a baby using brown as the primary color, have a heart somewhere on the project and use any cut from any of the Cricut cartridges!

A colleague of mine is having a baby in August and there is going to be a baby shower for her soon and due to a very busy schedule I had to combine both challenges into one.

Here is Kazan's sketch:

And here is my take:

17th B-day Card and Laura & Kazan's brand new site 2 Sketches 4 You

Here's a card I made my boyfriend's son who just turned 17 and I used Kazan's sketch from her brand new site 2 Sketches 4 You with Laura. I'm very excited about this new blog, it has been created be two very very talented ladies, Laura Davis and Kazan Clark.

Unfortunately I only had time to do a card with Kazan's sketch. I love Laura's but I wasn't able to get it done in time, but still plain on using it and letting her know when I do.

So, anyway, here's A.J.'s 17th b-day card:

Altered Over the Hill? card for the Cricut "Show us your Best" contest

As some of you must already know Cricut had a "Show us your Best" contest in which the winner gets 3 carts of their choice and their project will be featured in the next Cricut infomercial. So...I took the design of the card that I had the most fun making and coincidently the most carts used! In the original design I used 5 carts but I decided to make some changes to this version which I ended up adding another cart to the recipe! I used the CDS and there was one cut that I made that I had to change the cart 5 times!

Here's the recipe for this version:
Cricut carts: AE, Celebrations, Cuttin' Up, Doodlecharms, Doodletype and Opposites Attract (strangely enough I didn't use anything from Beyond B-days).
Stickles: Xmas Red
Blossoms: Making Memories Jumbo Daisy Spotlight
Various rhinestones and self-adhesive gems
Cuttlebug: D'Vine Embossing Folder
Ribbon: Offray Stripe Red-Bk and red ric-rac
CS: White, Black, Red, Brown, Metallic Papaya, Neutral Tan
DPs: DCWV The Glitter Stack

For the rest of the pictures that I did exactly the same for this project and also of the different inside of the card design, click here.
