Eat Dessert First Birthday

I know, it's been forever since I've made a post. I haven't been doing too much crafting lately but I have a few things that I've done that haven't posted yet. Here's one...it's a birthday card for my dad. As usual it's really hard to make a card for a guy without getting to frilly so I'm pleased how this came out.

The stamp I used is perfect for my dad as he LOVES frosting!

Thank ewe!

Hi, just a quick post for a quick card I made to thank my fiance's dad and stepmother for their Christmas gifts. Yes I know it's March but we didn't get to get together until February and I haven't been able to post anything because my computer completely crashed on me and I had to send it out for service. Until today I've been without a computer since Feb 28th! It's back and up and running :)

That adorable sheep is from The Cutting Café Ewe, Ladybug, Pie & Heart background set printable stamps.

I ran it through the Cuttlebug's D’Vine Swirl Folder:

Somebody turned ONE!

My very adorable nephew, Chase, turned 1 this past Monday. I can't believe it's been a year already!

Last year I took a fun class at my LSS where we made a birthday cake keepsake book so I can't take credit for the idea of this book but the cake decorating part is me (although we used some of the same rub-ons but I placed them in different spots), so some scraplifting.

Anyway here it is, just needs completing once his parents pick out their favorite pics from the b-day party and I can put them in book.

This is two stamps I combined together. I masked the sentiment on the Fluffles baking stamp and replaced it with the other sentiment from another Stampendous stamp (thought it was perfect for this project):

Here's the Money Card:

Happy Valentine's Day with TESC98

Hey there, finally I was able to get back to making a card based off of one of Taylored Expression Sketch Challenges. This week is #98 and it was really fun to work with. I decided to combine this with the latest Bitten By The Bug contest (which is a Valentine's project using purple in it) so you will see another post of this with a matching bag or box for some Valentine's gifts.

Here is the TESC98 sketch:

And here's my take:

This really cute ice cream image and sentiments are from Taylored Expressions Sprinkled with Love stamp set. It has a bunch of really cute yummy desserts and other sentiments. I'm really looking forward to using the mug and swirly steam on another card.
I used Glossy Accents on the ice cream dish to make it look somewhat real glass, which is REALLY hard to see in the picture:

I always loved this die cut from Cricut's Stamped cartridge:

So anyway, wish me luck on being picked to being in TESC's Top Crop.

Recipe:
-CS: Bazzill Basics "French Silk" and "Bouquest", Mi-Teintes "Stygian Black"
-PPs: DCWV "Love", "Gold Script Designer", Olive Script" and from The Mat Stack
-Stamps: Taylored Expressions Sprinkled with Love
-FCI: Colorbox "Chestnut Roan", "Dark Brown" and "Merlot"
-Prismacolor Pencils: PC946 Dark Brown
-Sakura Glaze Pens
-Stickles: Xmas Red
-Cricut Cart: Stamped for Love cut at 3" with a shadow and AE for the Scallop frame cut at 3 3/4"
-Misc: Marvy Liquid Applique, Heat Gun, Black Pigment Ink, Glossy Accents

Happy B-day to a great sister-in-law

Here's a birthday card that I made for my amazing sister-in-law. I had the hardest time getting pictures to show the true colors of the papers and everything. The picture with the envie is the closest I could get.

Anyway, here's the cover:

I love this cupcake from a Hero Arts Clear Design Cupcakes set (which the sentiment above is from) and I just love stickles which I covered the wood flower from Kaiser:

The paper I used is double-sided which is so great when making cards to have such a pretty background on the outside and inside:

This sentiment is part of a stamp from one Stampendous' Scrumptious Shoes (I LOVE those stamps):

And here's the envie:

Cupcake mixture:
-CS: The Paper Co "Antique Rose" and Bazzill Basics "Tutu Pink"
-PP: K&Company "Classic K Mango Paper Pad"
-Stamps: Hero Arts Clear Design Cupcakes and Stampendous' Scrumptious Shoes "Birthday Cake" (just the sentiment)
-Prismacolor Pencils: PC928 Blush Pink, PC930 Magenta and PC946 Dark Brown
-Blossoms: Prima Flowers and Kaiser Scrapbook Wood Flourishes "Mixed Flowers"
-Cricut Cartridge: Tear Drops
-Stickles: Pink
-
-Misc: Flower Rhinestones, Gamsol, Black Pigment Ink, Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Mini Pop Dots, Adhesive

Get well and get pampered

A friend of mine had her tonsils out so I thought I'd give her a little gift to get a little pampered with a manicure and foot soak.

I used this great Box with Dividers designed by The Cutting Café's very own Regina.

With the dividers that Regina designed for this box they worked very well for the gift certificate in one of the sections, a baggie of sea salt in one and a bottle of OPI nail polish called Rosy Future with two smaller baggies of sea salt in the 3rd section:

Here's a really pretty stamp by Inkadinkadoo that I stamped a couple times to pop up the rose:

I put the stamped image on this tiny card I adhered to the top of the box and used ribbon tied in a bow to keep it closed. Just untie the ribbon and the card opens to a little message:

And here's the other rose I cut out from one of the several stamped images I did:

Medicine:
-CS: Bazzill Basics "Brocade" and "Witch Hazel"
-PPs: Anna Griffin
-Stamp: Inkadinkadoo "Get Well"
-Fluid Chalk Inks: Colorbox "Dune", "Merlot" and "Olive Pastel"
-Stickles: Diamond
-Primsmacolor Pencils: PC925 Crimson Lake, PC1005 Limepeel
-Misc: Versafine Black Onyx ink, Gamsol, Adhesive, Mini Pot Dots, Sheer White Polka Dot ribbon, cellophane baggies

Some Christmas cards for Friends & Family

This one I made using Regina's Santa Hat cutting file from The Cutting Café. For other pictures of cards I made with this adorable cut, click here.

This one I did with this adorable Changito stamp from Stampendous, colored in with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol:

I used some Glossy Accent on the glass of milk to make it look like a real glass...not sure if you can see it well in the picture:

This one use a Magenta stamp that I also colored in with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol and some stickles:

And another stamped image, this one by Lockhart Stamps and used quite few colors of stickles:
