Taylor's Cupcake Challenge

OK, even though it's a cupcake challenge, Taylor said we didn't really need to use a cupcake so I went with a b-day cake since I needed to make a b-day card for my brother. The challenge was to follow her sketch that included using 3 patterned papers, a border and a sentiment box. Here's my take on it...also check out Taylor's site, she's one talented lady.

I love this card you have such a great way with stamps the way you stamped it on the card and then the cake on different paper and pop dotted, your designs are so unique.

Great job on this card Nikki! I love the different papers you put together! Your brother will love it!
Oh, and an answer to your question on the mother's day stamp...it is from Stampin' Up!, the set is called All Holidays. There are lots of swirls on the stamp, so I just colored the part that I wanted!
Have a great weekend!!

This is gorgeous! I love how you've done the happy birthday inside too - what a fab idea!

Thanks so much for all the sweet comments. I ended up thinking the Happy Birthday on the inside of the card was too plain so I foofed it up with tons of prima flowers and stickles forgetting that this was for my brother. So to make a long story short this card will now be for someone else and I'm now working a new card for my brother (in a more guy like fashion).

I will repost this card with the new additions soon...stay tuned...
