Thanks for all of you amazing inspiration!

Here's just a quick post on a quick LO I put together for the scrapbooks I'm putting together for Scott's parents. This was Zachary, a stray that we took in but unfortunately after 4 mos we realized it was never going to work out with my other cat, Tyler, so we had to find him (Zach) a new home. We found the best home for him with 2 other cats and dog and the ALL get along, so Zach is very happy in his new (not so new anymore) home and Tyler is happy with him gone! ;p

40th Birthday Cake

Well, I made one for my nephew, Chase, who turn one at the beginning of the month so I decided to go much further in age and made a birthday cake keepsake book for Scott for his 40th birthday.

I used the same rub-ons that I used on Chase's cake, I really like the style of these from Scenic Route:

I went to CVS and used their Kodak Kiosk to make 2x3 pictures so I could fit more in the book:

I love these wood flourishes from Kaiser, they fit so perfectly on this layer of the cake:

Cake Mix:
-CS: Bazzill Basics “Mud Pie” and Craft and Craftin Glitter Paper “Coffee”
-PPs: K&Company Tim Coffey “Fall Script” and “Fall Gold Leaf Scroll”,
K&Company Ancestry.com “Teal & Dots & Swirls Glitter Paper” and “Brown Swirls Glitter paper”
-Rub-ons: Scenic Route Paper Co "Birthday Rub-On Words"
-Distress Ink: Tim Holtz “Vintage Photo”
-FCI: Colorbox “Celedon”
-Glitter: Stampendous “Crystal Snow – White Ultra Fine”
-Blossoms: Prima Mulberry Paper Flowers Teal, Prima Got Flowers? Brown and Prima Artful Collage
-Wood Flourishes: Kaiser “Borders”

Father Daughter Ball 2007

Every year at Alyssa's elementary school they would have a Father Daughter Ball and this one is from 2007 which was the 2nd to the last one. Unfortunately Scott forgot his camera to the last one. :(

Here's two LOs I did at 4:00AM on Thursday because I couldn't sleep...yes I was cutting those intricate flowers at 4 in the morning!

Hope you like...

Those flowers that are partially framing the picture is what I cut out of a beautiful SEI paper that is from the same collection of the two papers I used for these LOs:

Someone decided to take a bite out of her cupcake right before getting her picture taken...I thought it was too funny leave out of the LO:

Isn't she like a princess:

I cut the wings on the butterflies to tuck the picture under:

Somebody turned ONE!

My very adorable nephew, Chase, turned 1 this past Monday. I can't believe it's been a year already!

Last year I took a fun class at my LSS where we made a birthday cake keepsake book so I can't take credit for the idea of this book but the cake decorating part is me (although we used some of the same rub-ons but I placed them in different spots), so some scraplifting.

Anyway here it is, just needs completing once his parents pick out their favorite pics from the b-day party and I can put them in book.

This is two stamps I combined together. I masked the sentiment on the Fluffles baking stamp and replaced it with the other sentiment from another Stampendous stamp (thought it was perfect for this project):

OK! Back to some scrapbooking! - Hayride & apples!

I've been working a little here and there in between cards on catching up on scrapbooks for the in-laws. Here's a couple LOs to a day we spent apple picking. These pictures are from the Fall of 08, that's how far behind I am! And these are just for Scott's mom and husband, I still have to make some LOs of this event for his dad and wife.

The ticket with the apple bucket is from one of the BBTB's challenge I did when I was on the team, you can see it here.

Even after all the pies I made I was still able to lose all the extra weight I had on me when these pictures were taken :)

Another bucket full of apples:

Happy Valentine's Day - BBTB2 Contest

Hey there, if you've been on my blog in the last week or so then you've already seen this card in the post below, as I also used it for Taylored Expression Sketch Challenge #98. It started off to be my entry to the Bitten By The Bug 2 contest but thought I would combine it with another challenge.

The BBTB2 contest was to make any valentine's project, using any cut from any Cricut cartridge but you had to add purple in the color theme. I really liked that idea because it's the color theme in my downstairs bathroom and a little bit in my bedroom but with much more latte color. For some reason I've liked that color combo for home decor for awhile.

Since this will Scott's Valentine's card I made a matching box using the Stationary Box with a Frame Top from The Cutting Café designed by the very talented Regina Easter. Her set comes with 4 different tops, the frame (the one I used), circle opening, rectangular opening and a solid top.

So here's my entry in the BBTB2 contest:

Scott's favorite candy bar is Snickers, just in case you were wondering ;p

With masking tape I used the same stamp as the inside of the card, I just stamped each word separately on the tags (also, those really pretty diamond pins were given to me by a friend of mine, Tracy Gough all the way from England, thanks again Tracy!):

Inside of the card:

Most of you know that I love to embossing my stamping images:

Back of the card & envie:
